    RC Heli Heatwave 2019
Hi all, Hamish here. I will be aiming to be a basic blog from this year's events that I attend. If you see me at any of the events please feel free to come and say hello, and ask for some advice if required. I hope with the heli scene growing again not only in Australia but worldwide, I will bump into some of you throughout the year. If not, you can keep up to date with me on this blog or Hamish Scott Heli on Facebook where I post flight videos, pictures, event and product information that I hope you all can make some use of. Happy Flying!  March 14th - 17th took me to Heli Heatwave 2019. This annual RC helicopter event this year made the move from Wagga Wagga to the NSW State Flying Field in Cootamundra for 2019. Brand New JR Forza 450EX RC Helicopter Coming Soon
There is exciting news for RC helicopter fans with the announcement of the JR Forza 450EX 2014. As the name suggests, this is an update of the original Forza 450, which was JR's first 450-size helicopter. The key feature of this new Forza is that it is designed to accomodate a 6-cell (6S) LiPo battery. This is going to be quite a power boost. The original Forza could fit a 3-cell (3S) 2200-2500mAh LiPo battery, so the new EX version is going to deliver excellent performance.  ...

The Phoenix Event Report: Indoor Flying in Adelaide, June 2013
I dare say that we cannot expect, at this time of the year, any warmer weather than we're experiencing at present and this was the case for our June gathering of Indoor Fliers and, no doubt, the reason for us scratching to pay the rent at the stadium, the home of Netball S.A. where we gather to fly on the third Thursday of each Month - right throughout the year. I was pleased to hear from our leader, Michael O'Reilly of Model Flight that we did, in fact, make the necessary fee for this ultra-cold night.   It turned out to be a great night for those who were keen enough to come along, no doubt like me, covered by multi-layers of woollen wear and the heaviest quality at that.   ...

  • What is the difference between Gas vs. Nitro RC Helis

What is the difference between Gas vs. Nitro RC Helis
Given the large range of remote control helIcopters at Modelflight, finding the one that is right for you is not always easy. These are otherwise known as 2-stroke engine helis and they run on standard unleaded fuel. This makes them less expensive to run. As you would assume, the fuel for these models is also easier to obtain. You will also find that there is l...
