April 11, 2013 26Following on from our previous blog post about Team TLR/Modelflight's Andrew Gillot's win on the weekend, we wanted to bring you some more RC car news from the 2013 Electric Modified Off-Road Nationals. In addition to the 2WD Modified competition in which Gillot claimed victory, the regional city of Mildura, Victoria also played host to a 4WD competition. In a series of thrilling races, Josh Pain claimed the winner's trophy after driving his Yokomo B-MAX4 II over three stage finals series. He managed to claim victory in the first two legs; an impressive result for Josh. The other contenders who made it to the top-3 podium were Chris Sturdy and Matt Griffen respectively. Modelflight was able to capture all the excitement from these 4WD races in the below video, which was recently released on our YouTube channel:

April 09, 2013 51It was a fast-paced weekend in Mildura, Victora. The 2013 Australian Nationals were held with great fanfare and Modeflight was fortunate enough to be there to capture all the action. We are pleased to say that TLR/Modelflight Australia driver, Andrew Gillott took out the Modified 2WD EP Australian National Title with his TLR 22 Race Buggy. April 04, 2013 185Hangar 9 have a fantastic reputation when it comes to producing scale model planes. Their latest release reaffirms this. The Cirrus SR22T 30cc ARF is a superb offering. This plane is an officially licensed scale version of the full-scale Cirrus Aircraft model. It features a paint scheme inspired by the original SR22 and authentic scale outline and contours.

April 04, 2013 78We have seen some great BNF RC planes at Modelflight, but this one we're particuarly excited about. E-Flite have just launched the Inverza 280. This plane is the outcome of a highly-qualified, three-person design team. Aerobatic world champion Quique Somenzini, in collaboration with full-scale aerobatic aircraft craftsman Kevin Kimball and aviation artist Mirco Pecorari, worked together to put this amazing remote control plane together.

April 02, 2013 72Here is a review that will win over the hearts of scale RC fans. Chuck T. Seeker took his ParkZone SE5a for another flight and was able to put together a video review. This RC plane has high historic value. The original SE5a was a legendary plane of the World War I era, flown by aces from America and Britain. Interestingly, the ParkZone SE5a also has great historical value for Chuck. He first maidened this plane 20 months ago in July 2011 and in this demo film, Chuck revisits this classic model.
