Bite-size 3D powerhouse
With such beautiful weather in Adelaide, we had to get out of the office and test fly the new Blade 150 S RC helicopter. Featuring SAFE technology, this brilliant helicopter is perfect for those pilots who are wanting to move from a fixed pitch to a collective pitch heli. With progressive flight modes, you can use this RC helicopter as a collective pitch trainer as well as performing advanced sporty 3D aerobatics. Check out the video above for some footage of the 150 S.

This week we have received some amazing new aircrafts and RC cars, including the new Viper RC Jet from E-flite, so let's get into it and see what we've got.
Victorious Viper EDF Jet
The Viper is a Brand-New 70mm electric ducted fan Jet from E-flite. It is available in two versions, a Bind-N-Fly (BNF) and a Plug-and-Play version (PNP). PNP would be ideal for non-Spektrum transmitter users as it allows you to use your own receiver. This EDF RC Jet comes pre-assembled and you will need to add your own receiver, transmitter, battery and charger. Spektrum Radio users will benefit from the BNF version as it includes a pre-installed Spektrum receiver with exclusive AS3X and SAFE select technologies tuned

March 30th and 31st brought me to Thailand Heli Blowout 2019 at the Thung Srikan Flying Field in Bangkok, (THB) Asia's premier fun fly and Competition. This would be my first competition and demos out of Australia.
We arrived Thursday afternoon to the airport where we were greeted by my Teammates father Narong Poonoi who drove us off to the hotel to assemble helis for practice starting Friday.
The weather in Bangkok was quite a shock to the system with temperatures above 35°c and humidity in the high 60's.
Friday I managed to get in 7 flights of practice even with the chaotic flight lines, mainly set manoeuvers as that's what I was flying on Saturday. I made some good progress with the help of my teammates. Inbetween flights I was assisting the team with mechanical issues throughout the day where I could. I left Friday feeling better about

Axial Yeti Jr. Can-Am Replica
Axial has teamed up with Can-Am to produce a realistic Maverick X3 rock racer in a 1/18th scale with a detailed Can-Am finish. This RC car comes with some great features and is ready to run out of the box. One of the big differences between this and previous Axial models is now that they're owned by Horizon Hobby some changes have been made to the electronic package. A Spektrum STX2 transmitter, receiver and a Spektrum servo are included as standard – it also uses a Dynamite 380

We are very excited to announce that JR will be releasing a new 700-size RC helicopter. The JR Forza 700 promises to be an exciting new addition to the range of helicopters at Modelflight. This new Forza has a boom and torque tube and is very lightweight. JR have designed this new model with a short mast for extreme 3D performance. The main blade grips and centre hub are also designed to be heavy duty.
The frame of this remote control helicopter is similar to that seen in the JR Forza

There is exciting news for RC helicopter fans with the announcement of the JR Forza 450EX 2014. As the name suggests, this is an update of the original Forza 450, which was JR's first 450-size helicopter. The key feature of this new Forza is that it is designed to accomodate a 6-cell (6S) LiPo battery. This is going to be quite a power boost. The original Forza could fit a 3-cell (3S) 2200-2500mAh LiPo battery, so the new EX version is going to deliver excellent performance.

June 28, 2013 187If you are the proud owner of a JR RC helicopter, you will probably be aware of the large range of parts that JR have available for their models. At Modelflight, we strive to ensure that we have the latest and widest range of JR parts available. As a matter of fact, at the last count we had over 1400 different JR parts available! Given this broad range, we thought it would be wise to talk about how you can quickly and easily find the JR part/s you are looking for. On Modelflight's YouTube channel, Matt recently put this video together outlining how

June 25, 2013 43I dare say that we cannot expect, at this time of the year, any warmer weather than we're experiencing at present and this was the case for our June gathering of Indoor Fliers and, no doubt, the reason for us scratching to pay the rent at the stadium, the home of Netball S.A. where we gather to fly on the third Thursday of each Month - right throughout the year. I was pleased to hear from our leader, Michael O'Reilly of Model Flight that we did, in fact, make the necessary fee for this ultra-cold night. It turned out to be a great night for those who were keen enough to come along, no doubt like me, covered by multi-layers of woollen wear and the heaviest quality at that. My first picture, on this occasion, is an opening shot of Mike and Wayne in deep conversation
