If you like RC bashers and stunt trucks, you’ll love what we have just received – the new 2019 Spec Arrma RC cars as well as a restock of the Losi Super Rock Rey. We’re going to go through a few of these models and show some highlights.
Arrma's 2019 Talion Truggy
There have been many upgrades to the Arrma Talion 2019 RC Truggy, but first, we will cover the new radio system. The Talion has moved to a Spektrum based radio system using the STX2 controller which contains some great features, including a throttle limiting switch that you can adjust to 50%, 75% and 100% throttle. This feature is ideal for less experienced drivers limiting them to speeds where the RC car is easier to control. Once the driver is confident and has improved their skills, they can adjust the throttle limit to 75% and 100%.
Arrma’s Talion 2019 Spec Truggy can be powered by 4S or 6S LiPo batteries. This RC Car is not

We recently spoke about the range of ECX RC cars available at Modelflight in a buyer's guide we published a few weeks ago. In this same spirit, we wanted to talk about an equally popular car brand, renowned for making vehicles that are of great value for money. Carisma have a wide selection of remote control cars that can easily be driven by beginners. Much like ECX, though, a common Carisma conundrum is being spoilt for choice. Which Carisma car is right for me? In this blog post, we hope we can help you find the answer to that very question. We will discuss each Carisma car with regards to the kind of driving they are suited for. Let's begin by looking at some rally cars.

ECX have always had a great range of RC cars and trucks and as in any scenario when you are spoilt for choice, making a final decision can be difficult! Hence the reason why we have put together this buyer's guide for ECX remote control vehicles. We hope that it helps you narrow down your selection to help you find the perfect ECX car or truck to suit your needs.
For The Beginner
A great place to start with ECX remote control cars is the vehicle size. ECX cars come in two sizes: 1/10th- and 1/18th-scale, with the majority of their products falling in the first category. This is quite normal for most RC car brands; 1/10-scale is the standard size for most remote control vehicles. 1/18-scale cars certainly have their benefits, though. If you are looking for a great gift idea (especially for children), 1/18-scale RC cars are lots of fun. Their small size makes them easy to handle and it is quite feasible to drive them both outside and inside the house (without wreaking too much havoc)! ECX have two fantastic 1/18-scale cars that would make for great gift ideas (especially for Christmas).
The 1/18-scale Torment is a thrill to drive. It comes with four wheel drivetrain, oil-filled shocks and everything you require included in the box. It has a great short-course truck design with a striking trim scheme that will stand out wherever you go. It is powered by a Dynamite 380-sized brushed motor and comes with a 6-cell NiMH battery (a charger is also included).

Recently on the Modelflight Blog, we have been talking about the new 4WD versions of already-popular ECX RC cars. From the ECX Torment to the Circuit RC truck, these new, upgraded-drivetrain vehicles are some of the most popular new products to emerge from the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair. Today, we wanted to focus on one of these new ECX trucks, the 4WD Ruckus RC monster truck, an update of the original Ruckus RC truck.
The original Ruckus was a dream-come-true for many; a gutsy RC monster truck that could easily be driven by beginners. The new 2014 Ruckus RC truck maintains that strong

Known for its adventurous and heavy-hitting nature, the Ford Raptor is a fixture at off-road races around the world, including the famous Dakar Rally (the above picture shows Sue Mead and Darren Skilton competing in this very rally). As the image shows, the Raptor is built for extreme off-road competition. It is with that same spirit that Vaterra have created their very own RC Ford Raptor, pictured below:
Ever since Vaterra was launched in early-2013, they have always amazed us with their range of on- and off-road RC cars and trucks. It is only fitting that one year after they entered the stage that they continue to build on their solid foundation with the introduction

The 2014 ECX Torment has always been popular with drivers looking for their first RC truck and today we are pleased to announce that a new version of the Torment is coming soon to Modelflight. Ready-to-run with four wheel drive transmission, the new ECX Torment takes performance to a whole new level. This short course RC truck comes equipped with a strong Dynamite 15T brushed motor, coupled with a Speedpack 8.4V 7-Cell NiMH battery pack.
