  • New Arrma Infraction RC Street Basher

We went down to the Hallett Cove Skate Park to shoot some footage with the Arrma Infraction. We were lucky enough to get a sample of this remote control car to put it through its paces, and let us tell you, it is an amazing car! Phenomenal performance, phenomenal speed - the RC car will smoke the tyres doing donuts it has that much power and torque. We were probably putting it in a place where it shouldn't be, jumping and bashing it, doing everything that you probably wouldn't want to do to a car that you have just purchased, but we did to see what it can handle and it has come through beautifully with no damage aside from some scuffs to the body...

  • What is Active Vehicle Control (AVC) in RC Cars?

AVC, What’s all that about? Ever had an R/C car that was too fast to drive in a straight line? Struggled on loose surfaces? Lost the back end going around corners? Well not to worry, Spektrum has you covered with its proprietary AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology, allowing beginner enthusiasts to control high powered cars with a level of precision that was previously unattainable. AVC works by utilizing accelerometer’s and sensors inside the receiver to give feedback about the cars movement and relative position. This feedback is then taken and turned into a steering and throttle input. The input will apply throttle and steering correction to keep the car pointing in the direction you choose, these corrections are made so fast that you’re unable to feel them whilst they work seamlessly behind the scenes to provide a driving experience that is precise and c...

STEM is an acronym that stands for four increasingly relevant academic disciplines: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Rather than teach each area separately, STEM education integrates these disciplines for use in real-life applications and the use of RC related products can add a fun element that students can relate to. Remote Control toys are not only fun to play with, but they’re also a great way to educate students about robotics, mechanics and how to build and design. It is a great way to develop a student’s senses, mechanical and learning skills to promote their hand-eye coordination and problem-solving ability.
