It's an exciting time for RC pilots with the introduction of new first RC products that utilise first person view (FPV) technology. In the last few weeks, we have seen the launch of new systems and packages that allow you to fly your RC model from the perspective of the cockpit. In this blog post, we want to look at these new technologies and how they will completely alter your RC flying experience.
The primary product we wanted to look at is the new E-Flite FPV Vapor. Some of you may remember the orginal ParkZone Night Vapor that was a popular indoor flyer. The great news is that E-Flite

Singing Praises About the E-Flite Adagio
Spring has finally arrived and the time is ripe to get outdoors and enjoy the weather without fear of rain clouds! Fortunately we have a great glider from E-Flite that will be available soon for you to enjoy the new season. The Adagio is a 280-size electric glider constructed from Z-Foam. The beauty of this model is that is large enough to take advantage of in-air thermals, but also small enough to fly at your local park or a small field. The two-piece wing makes the glider easy to transport and its sleek, high aspect ratio airframe is perfect for soaring. With the functional flaps, you can also perform basic sport aerobatics - it's the best of both worlds!
This E-Flite Glider comes with a brushless 120Kv direct-drive outrunner motor pre-installed. If the wind conditions are not giving you enough lift, this motor will give you all the power you need. Simply increase the throttle and the propeller will unfold, allowing

The Pitts Hits the Target
The full-size Pitts Special 1S is an icon in the field of aerobatic planes and now you have the opportunity to fly this aerobatic wonder in the most accessible fashion! E-Flite have turned the aircraft into an ultra-micro model; maintaining its ability to perform stunning aerial feats, but in a size that allows you to fly in your own backyard. The Pitts S-1S RC plane handles very well, thanks to the in-built Artificial Stability - 3 aXis (AS3X) system which gives you both great stability when required and great agility when you need to perform at your peak. AS3X utilises multi-axis sensors and software to make attitude corrections in the event of turbulence, torque and tip stalls. This works subtly behind-the-scenes, so you will be able to maximise your flying efforts without fear.
This plane comes fully-assembled out of the box (the only thing you will need to supply is a suitable transmitter), so you will be able to get flying very quickly. Even

Out of all the scale RC planes at Modelflight, the P-51D Mustang has always been the most popular. These legendary World War II fighters have reputations that precede them and we are proud to offer a range of Mustangs for pilots and history buffs alike! Today, we are pleased to announce that E-Flite have made a valuable contribution to the Mustang hangar, with the release of their P-51D Mustang RC plane. This is an exciting offering. The plane comes with fully operational flaps and a retractable electric main landing gear. Both these features come pre-installed. You will be able to perform great landings right from the get-go. These retracts have also been equipped with covers over the steel struts; enhancing the scale appearance with the outer gear doors. It's these functional flaps, combined with the Mustang's light wing loading, that gives the plane a great flight envelope and the ability to take off in shorter distances and land more slowly.

Adding to their expanding hangar of ultra-micro RC planes, E-Flite recently announced the launch of the UMX Spacewalker. This small plane certainly has a big presence. With its bright red and white trim scheme, it stands out in the air and on the ground. This plane can easily be flown in small spaces (even your own backyard) and comes with great scale details. Apart from the aforementioned trim scheme, it has a pilot figure positioned in an open cockpit. You will also notice the moulded wing ribs and visible engine cylinders, which add to the overall quality of this model.
This plane has easy-going, slow flying characteristics, but its 6mm brushed motor, gear drive and 100mm propeller combined still packs enough power to climb and loop. This model is available ready-to-fly or in a Bind-N-Fly version, depending on your preferences. The ready-to-fly model comes with an E-Flite

An exciting RC glider to emerge from the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair was the E-Flite RC Allusive. Today we are pleased to announce that the arrival of this new model is imminent. This will be a great glider for fans of thermal soaring. With its streamline fibreglass fuselage, the Allusive is a well-constructed model. This glider offers four-channel control, covering V-tail, ailerons and throttle. You will notice that the canopy is quite large and will give you easy access to the plywood mounting plates; very useful as you put together the necessary components to complete this ARF glider.
The Allusive has a bold design, with bright orange tips on the ends of its two-piece wings. These wings

The original Radian from ParkZone was always a popular RC glider, proving to be easy-to-fly and offering great characteristics in the air. In this spirit of this tradition, E-Flite announced earlier this year the introduction of an Ultra Micro Radian and today we are pleased to annouce that this new model has arrived at Modelflight. The Ultra Micro Radian is going to be lots of fun. It comes equipped with AS3X Technology, so you know that your flights are going to be smooth and stable. With its 3-channel control, this minature Radian will offer easy flying and soaring characteristics. This ParkZone glider is constructed from light foam, giving you an easy to handle weight. The wing also comes with carbon fibre support.

For fans of ultra-micro RC planes (or scale planes in general), some great news emerged yesterday with the launch of the E-Flite Ultra-Micro Corsair. This is an excellent addition to the E-Flite hangar. The previous Corsair from ParkZone was a very popular model and it is great to see that E-Flite have now created a smaller-scale version, which is perfect for both indoor and outdoor flying. A key feature of this new Corsair is the inclusion of Artificial Stabilisation Three Axis (AS3X) Technology. AS3X works subtly in the background as you fly; smoothing out the effects of forces such as P-Factor, turbulence and torque. This technology is so subtle, you will hardly notice it working. The control responses and throws will be as sharp as always.
The E-Flite Ultra-Micro Corsair comes with great scale detail, including an accurate paint scheme, clear canopy and moulded panel lines.

If you love the thrill of aerobatic flying, you are going to love the new E-Flite Carbon-Z Yak 3X 54. Following their popular Carbon-Z Yak 54, E-Flite have announced the Yak 54 3X RC plane. This version of the Yak comes with Artificial Stabilisation - 3aXis (AS3X) technology built-in to the included AR635 receiver, giving you a wide flight envelope and excellent stability. Because the AS3X minimises the effect of wind and turbulence, you can perform a range of aerobatic maneuvers with great precision. You will find that the effect of this

November 25, 2013 16Recently on Modelflight's YouTube channel, Mike provided an update on some of the new releases that have are now available on our website. If you haven't seen the video yet, check it out below:
As you can see, there has been a lot of new arrivals the last few weeks and this blog post will discuss the products that Mike covered, beginning with the JR XG14E.
JR XG14E
This is a classic European-style transmitter. If you are a fan of tray radios, this new release from JR will have great appeal. In terms of functionality, it is very similar to the original high-tech JR XG14 transmitter. As Mike mentioned, there are also a wide range of option parts that you can use with the XG14e, such as palm rests, transmitter tray arms and a specially-designed transmitter case. If you prefer tray-type
