Fans of RC jets, take note. E-Flite has just announced the launch of the UMX Habu DF 180. If it looks familiar to you, thats no surprise. It is modelled on the very popular Habu 32 park flyer. In the same shape as the original, the key difference is that its ultra-micro size means that this ducted fan jet is small enough to fly in your own backyard. And boy, does this UMX Habu pack a punch! It features an EDF power system, incorporating the Delta-V 180m 28mm EDF Unit, coupled with a brushless 180m Ducted Fan Motor, with 11750Kv of power.
Check out this video where Mike takes us through the brand new release of the UMX Habu. You can also watch on Modelflights YouTube channel

June 21, 2013 18In a previous blog post, we gave an overview of SAFE Technology in general and what its benefits are. In this post, we want to talk about how this technology is applied in the E-Flite Apprentice S 15e. The Apprentice S is an outstanding trainer plane and one of the primary reasons for its effectiveness is the use of SAFE Technology. As you may recall, SAFE allows for the creation of sensor-assisted flight envelopes

June 03, 2013 339So, an RC plane or RC heli comes with SAFE Technology. That all sounds good, but what exactly is SAFE Technology? SAFE is an abbreviation of Sensor-Assisted Flight Envelope and it is designed to improve the flight control of your model. SAFE Technology has been custom-tuned to suit fixed and rotary wing aircraft. This new technology incorporates multi-axis sensors and software, making the plane or heli easier to fly. Models with SAFE technology have a range of progressive performance options, so you can easily adjust the degree of security and flight control. For example, if you are a beginner,

May 01, 2013 13Indeed, after months of anticipation, the 2013 JR Aerotow did come to the Warracknabeal Aerodome and Modelflight was there to capture all the action. Over 4 jam-packed days, 50 pilots from across Australia experienced some incredible scale soaring performances. There were over 100 scale gliders at the event, ranging from the small E-Flite Ultra Micro ASK-21 to a 7.5 metre-span, 1/2-scale ASW 28. We were able to capture the below footage from the event. Unfortunately, due to the excessive wind noise at Warracknabeal, we decided to produce the video without sound. Nevertheless,
