Last week, Modelflight announced the launch of the UMX Yak 54 180 BNF from E-Flite. In this time, Chuck T. Seeker has been able to put together two videos on his YouTube channel about the UMX Yak. In the first video, Chuck unboxes and reviews this RC plane:
As you can see in the video, the design of the UMX Yak is very similar to the original E-Flite Carbon-Z Yak. As Chuck highlights, with the inclusion of the brand new 2S 7.4V 150mAh 45C LiPo battery and a 3000 brushless motor, the UMX Yak will be an excellent performer. Its nose also has a large opening, allowing for efficient cooling. There is also a huge area underneath the hatch to control the centre of gravity.
In the next video, you will see Chuck demo the UMX Yak:
What a flight it was! As Chuck points out, the UMX Yak 54 performs like a larger plane, thanks to its included AS3X technology. This Quique Somenzini-designed RC plane is a true 3D performer. It's quite a fast and maneuverable plane, but if you have an intermediate level of flying experience, you should be able to handle it well.
The E-Flite UMX Yak 54 180 BNF RC plane is coming soon to Modelflight. No doubt you willl enjoy it as much as Chuck did. Once again, we thank Chuck T. Seeker for putting together these great videos. We will continue to report on new videos that are added to his channel on the Modelflight Blog.
