The Hangar 9 Beast and the E-Flite UMX Beast RC planes are highly regarded for their superb flying ability. Continuing this tradition, E-Flite today announced the launch of a 60-size, electric-powered Beast. The E-Flite Beast 60e ARF features design input from Quique Somenzini and comes with excellent power-to-weight ratio with 3D capability. Most of the complicated assembly detail has already been completed with this model plane, including the inclusion of a large fibreglass magnetic battery hatch. Unlike other biplanes, the Beast 60e can easily be setup at the field with a two-piece plug-in wings and a carbon joiner tube. This can be assembled with four screws and four pins.
The Beast RC plane is constructed from lightweight laser-cut balsa and plywood, with a Genuine UltraCote covering. The cowlng and wheel pants are made from fibreglass and come pre-painted. The Beast 60e comes ready-to-mount with the recommended high-output E-Flite Power 60, 470Kv motor. E-Flite have also allowed for independent and simple direct-link servo installation. The tailwheel on this RC plane is steerable and the aluminium landing gear has a painted finish. The Beast boasts large control surfaces with double-beveled hinge lines.
