April 04, 2013 186We have seen some great BNF RC planes at Modelflight, but this one we're particuarly excited about. E-Flite have just launched the Inverza 280. This plane is the outcome of a highly-qualified, three-person design team. Aerobatic world champion Quique Somenzini, in collaboration with full-scale aerobatic aircraft craftsman Kevin Kimball and aviation artist Mirco Pecorari, worked together to put this amazing remote control plane together.

April 02, 2013 135Here is a review that will win over the hearts of scale RC fans. Chuck T. Seeker took his ParkZone SE5a for another flight and was able to put together a video review. This RC plane has high historic value. The original SE5a was a legendary plane of the World War I era, flown by aces from America and Britain. Interestingly, the ParkZone SE5a also has great historical value for Chuck. He first maidened this plane 20 months ago in July 2011 and in this demo film, Chuck revisits this classic model. March 12, 2013 128Like many others, Modelflight is a big fan of Chuck T. Seeker's YouTube channel and we were pleased to see that he has recently uploaded not one, but three E-Flite Splendor Carbon-Z flight videos. The first video shows the maiden flight and it was great to see that the Splendor made a great first impression on Chuck. He described it as the "ultimate" big foam plane. Check out the maiden flight below:

March 05, 2013 45Well dear readers, this is a somewhat belated article with which I am endeavouring to cover the Indoor Flying Evening at the Netball Australia stadium for the 21st of February. Although it was one of our smallest numbers of fliers on this occasion, it was more because of my getting acquainted with a new computer that it has taken me this long to furnish you with a report and I do tender my apologies. It was, probably, our hottest night at ETSA Park and, although you may not realise, because a large number of our models are ultra-lightweight (such as the "Vapor" and the later addition to its family, the "Mini Vapor") both Horizon models, even a cough in the wrong direction could send them off course, so our request to the Duty Manager for the Air Conditioner to be turned off, makes for a fairly uncomfortable night.

February 25, 2013 129Last Friday, Modelflight was thrilled to launch a video interview we conducted with world famous RC pilot and and Horizon Hobby aircraft designer, Mike McConville. Mike was in Australia for the Spektrum Gratton Airshow and he kindly made the time to talk to us after the event. On Modelflight's Facebook page, we asked you to submit your questions to Mike and we picked the best ones for the interview. In our ten minute video, filmed in Adelaide's beautiful McClaren Vale, Mike talks about his work, past experience with the RC Tournament of Champions (TOC) and even how UFOs will shape our future. The final video was

February 22, 2013 97It was another fun night of indoor flying on Thursday. A crowd of pilots and spectators gathered to enjoy a variety of RC planes as they took to the air inside ETSA Stadium. Some of the models on display included the ParkZone T-28 Trojan. This brilliant scale plane's flight characteristics were just as good as its apperance. Its smooth takeoffs and landings were matched by its graceful performance in the air. As you can see in the video footage we captured on the night, the Trojan maneouvers easily, making it a great choice for intermediate-level pilots. Please note, though, that the video below shows the Ultra Micro version of the Trojan. Unfortunately, this version is
