This is a guest blog post from Modelflight team member, Matt. It shows photographs taken as Matt assembled the JR Forza 700 RC helicopter, with his commentary added underneath each image. We recommend referring to this post in conjunction with the Forza 700 manual as you assemble this product.
My initial thoughts after opening the Forza 700 box and laying out all the bits and pieces ready for assembly, was that all the machining on the metal parts and the finish on the carbon fibre parts are equal to the supreme quality of the earlier JR Vibe series.

This is a special guest post from RC helicopter pilot, Hamish Scott. If you would like to see Hamish's skills in action, please visit our YouTube playlist "RC Helicopter Action Videos with Hamish."
G'day Blog Readers,
After a year off from flying I am getting back into it and I am more pumped than I have ever been before. With a big thanks to Modelflight, once again I will be returning into flying this year with some great new products.
I will be flying this year with the new JR Propo XG14 DMSS transmitter and TSA Model helicopters more specifically the 700 electric series.

The original Blade 300 X was a popular RC helicopter for pilots looking to perform fantastic aerobatics in the air. Today, we are pleased to announce that the 300 X is being upgraded to a whole new level. The brand new 300 CFX comes with a carbon-fibre frame and a range of aluminium hop-up parts already installed. One of the great things about the Blade 300 CFX is its optimised servo geometry. This geometry is similar to what you would find in Blade's flagship 700 X. It gives the 300 CFX an extremely precise feel when flying and prevents mechancial loss through the flybarless system. This servo geometry also ensures that the included Spektrum AR7200BX flybarless system can work much less

We are thrilled to announce this exciting release from Blade helicopters. The new Blade 200 SR RC helicopter is the ideal choice for beginner pilots. Equipped with SAFE Technology, learning to fly remote control helicopters just became much easier. This technology has already been seen in Blade's RC quadcopter range, including the Nano QX, 180 QX and 350 QX, but this is the first time SAFE has been included in an RC helicopter.
This gives the 200 SR broad potential. If you have never flown an RC helicopter before, no worries!

November 22, 2013 7A fun night of indoor flying was held last night at ETSA Stadium, Adelaide. There were around 30 pilots and spectators in attendance and, once again, a variety of models were on show. Of particular interest was the new Blade 180QX. This RC quadcopter was very stable in the air, thanks to the included SAFE Technology. Similar to the 350 QX, this quadcopter comes with an on-board camera, which certainly came in handy last night, as we were able to capture some great footage from the sky. If you haven't already seen this footage (along with the other video highlights we captured), check out our video below: As you can see, the 180 QX is very smooth in the air and was able to film all the action of the event. If you are looking for an

November 12, 2013 15Whilst it was only a handful of eager beavers who played on the highly polished floor under the lights, never-the-less, a good time was had by all and few would complain of the number of flights that they enjoyed. It was a bumper night for Mike O'Reilly for he endured lots of time setting up a couple of new and exciting models at no expense to any other fliers. His efforts were much appreciated. My first pic shows the latest import at Model Flight with the highly attractive UMX SBach 342 3D to give it its full title which is almost larger than the micro model. Like most of the micros being imported into our country these days it is quite quick but delightfully steady in flight. Well - it was when in Mike's hands and as it was the first of its kind in the country at that time, I don't recall seeing anyone else

October 18, 2013 16ETSA Stadium once again played host to RC pilots and spectators last night at Adelaide's October 2013 indoor flying event. It was a good showing, with around 25 people in attendance (plus an additional 25 netball players who were meant to be practicing on the other court, but seemed to be distracted by the flying activity). A wide variety of RC models were on display at the event, with a great representation from increasingly-popular RC quadcopters. Several Blade mQXs were seen darting across the stadium. With their AS3X technology, they were very stable in the air and enjoyable to watch. It was also great to see a new Blade 350QX. These remote control quadcopters have been a hit and have just arrived at Modelflight. With their SAFE Technology and GoPro camera mounts, no doubt we will be seeing more of these models at future Indoor Flying events. On

August 20, 2013 22It was a great turnout at the August indoor flying session at ETSA Park, South Australia. Pilots and spectactors flocked to see some brilliant RC plane and helicopter demonstrations, in addition to seeing some of the latest releases from Modelflight. It was an impressive line-up. Some of the new models that were on show included the new 350 QX from Blade, the Delta Ray from

June 10, 2013 131Given the large range of remote control helIcopters at Modelflight, finding the one that is right for you is not always easy. One of the questions we often receive is what is the difference between gas and nitro helicopters? Today, we want to provide some explanations. Let's start with gas helicopters. These are otherwise known as 2-stroke engine helis and they run on standard unleaded fuel. This makes them less expensive to run. As you would assume, the fuel for these models is also easier to obtain. You will also find that there is less maintenance.
