We are thrilled to announce this exciting release from Blade helicopters. The new Blade 200 SR RC helicopter is the ideal choice for beginner pilots. Equipped with SAFE Technology, learning to fly remote control helicopters just became much easier. This technology has already been seen in Blade's RC quadcopter range, including the Nano QX, 180 QX and 350 QX, but this is the first time SAFE has been included in an RC helicopter.
This gives the 200 SR broad potential. If you have never flown an RC helicopter before, no worries!

November 22, 2013 15A fun night of indoor flying was held last night at ETSA Stadium, Adelaide. There were around 30 pilots and spectators in attendance and, once again, a variety of models were on show. Of particular interest was the new Blade 180QX. This RC quadcopter was very stable in the air, thanks to the included SAFE Technology. Similar to the 350 QX, this quadcopter comes with an on-board camera, which certainly came in handy last night, as we were able to capture some great footage from the sky. If you haven't already seen this footage (along with the other video highlights we captured), check out our video below: As you can see, the 180 QX is very smooth in the air and was able to film all the action of the event. If you are looking for an

November 12, 2013 35Whilst it was only a handful of eager beavers who played on the highly polished floor under the lights, never-the-less, a good time was had by all and few would complain of the number of flights that they enjoyed. It was a bumper night for Mike O'Reilly for he endured lots of time setting up a couple of new and exciting models at no expense to any other fliers. His efforts were much appreciated. My first pic shows the latest import at Model Flight with the highly attractive UMX SBach 342 3D to give it its full title which is almost larger than the micro model. Like most of the micros being imported into our country these days it is quite quick but delightfully steady in flight. Well - it was when in Mike's hands and as it was the first of its kind in the country at that time, I don't recall seeing anyone else

October 23, 2013 26We are very pleased to announce that a new RC quadcopter from Blade is coming to Modelflight. After the huge success of the 350 QX, Blade have launched the 180 QX. Similar to the 350, this new quadcopter can be used for aerial photography and filming. It comes with an EFC-720 HD flight camera included, allowing you to film, or capture images, as you fly. Another similarity with the 350 is that the 180 QX quadcopter comes with SAFE technology, giving you the choice of three flight modes. There are high and low angle flight modes which allow you to capture stable video footage and images. You also have the choice of agility mode, which allows you to experience aerobatic flight with the assistance of the AS3X stability system. What is unique is that the EFC-720 camera can be operated using the triggers on your transmitter. The camera

October 18, 2013 28ETSA Stadium once again played host to RC pilots and spectators last night at Adelaide's October 2013 indoor flying event. It was a good showing, with around 25 people in attendance (plus an additional 25 netball players who were meant to be practicing on the other court, but seemed to be distracted by the flying activity). A wide variety of RC models were on display at the event, with a great representation from increasingly-popular RC quadcopters. Several Blade mQXs were seen darting across the stadium. With their AS3X technology, they were very stable in the air and enjoyable to watch. It was also great to see a new Blade 350QX. These remote control quadcopters have been a hit and have just arrived at Modelflight. With their SAFE Technology and GoPro camera mounts, no doubt we will be seeing more of these models at future Indoor Flying events. On

Micro helicopters are great fun. These small RC helicopters are great for indoor or outdoor flying and Modelflight is proud to stock, and support, a wide range of these models. We have micro helicopters to suit beginner pilots (such as the Blade Scout CX and Blade CX4) and other models for more intermediate aerobatic pilots (for example, the Blade 130 X). Our range includes ready-to-fly (RTF) micro helicopters and Bind-N-Fly models too. Whatever your preferences, though, you would be aware of how valuable it is to have access to micro helicopter parts when needed. Today, we want to show you how you can find these spare parts quickly and easily, using Modelflight's online Spare Parts Finder.
The Spare Parts Finder can be found on Modelflight's homepage under the "Spare Parts" tab, as shown below:

August 23, 2013 228Are you keen to fly a remote control quadcopter? Quadcopters are great fun. Whether you are flying indoors or outside, they are really enjoyable models for all ages and experience levels. To help you get up in the air faster, Modelflight has prepared this step-by-step guide to help you learn to fly quadcopters. Why Quadcopters? If you dont have much experience with RC models (or no experience whatsoever), quadcopters are a great place to start. Because quadcopters come with four blades instead of two, they are generally more stable in the air, compared with remote control helicopters. Some of the latest RC quadcopters for beginners at Modelflight also feature advanced technology like sensor-assisted flight envelope
