New South Wales RC Plane Events

INDOOR STARTED AGAIN IN JANUARY 2015.

Dear Readers,

Over the last couple of months, I have been moaning and groaning regarding the lack of fliers, lack of income which meant Michael and Model Flight had to make up the short fall for the monthly rent. As the gorgeous lady who presents information for Ford Finance says, "This is true."  Now, I hope, we have entered a new world with larger numbers of happy fliers.

Personally it gave me a huge lift to have the Jacobsen family join us , and please permit me to itemise even further, and make special mention of Shaun. It seems that  for quite a number of years I have had the pleasure of following Shaun's model flying career in a somewhat mild, "behind the wings" manner, and as I had been moving in different circles , lost track over the last couple or more years.  So it was with great pleasure that I welcomed him to our magnificent Indoor Flying venue on Thursday, the 15th of January.

As you get ready for the new year ahead, be sure to put these dates in your calendar! If you are in South Australia (or would like to come over for a visit), we would love to see you at Indoor Flying, which is held on the third Thursday of every month from 7:30-9:30pm. The location is ETSA Park (155 Railway Terrace, Mile End). It only costs $10 to fly and there is no charge for spectators! Here are the dates for 2015:

INDOOR AT ETSA IN NOVEMBER 2014

Although our numbers were down, yet again, those who came to fly were gifted with the entire Stadium space for at least the last hour of our allotted time. Whilst I am not telling you a lot about the fliers, I am concentrating this month, more on the boxes of models with which Mike O'Reilly armed himself this month. They made quite a picture when the boxes were opened to reveal such models as a B-17G Flying Fortress.

New South Wales RC Plane Events

WE FLY THROUGH OCTOBER INDOOR

Although we were down a little on numbers on October 16th, it was none-the-less an enjoyable evening for all who were able to attend, and by half way through our scheduled flying time, all the "leedies" had departed and left us with the entire stadium.

We welcomed Michael O'Reilly home after he and Janine had spent a quite lengthy time in foreign countries. I shan’t repeat details as they appeared in my September episode and, apart from that, I am inclined to "go all funny" with envy. Let it suffice, or begin, by saying that my first picture is of a very small quad that he flew that night. Too small for me - I couldn't see it when it sat on the desk in front of me
