RC heli fans rejoice! The beautiful coastal city of Coffs Harbour is coming alive this weekend for the 3D Helifest, to be held from May 16 to 19. Modelflight is very excited to be attending this event. We will be representing JR Helicopters, TSA Models and our other great brands.
Coffs Harbour is a picturesque coastal city located midway between Sydney and Brisbane and it should offer superb May weather for this four day event. For many years, the Coffs Helifest has been one of the best RC heli fun flies in Australia, with pilots travelling all over the country to attend. Some have even journeyed from Western Australia and South Australia to participate. After a one year break, the 2013 event is expected to be bigger and better than ever.
One of the most exciting events is the Saturday night "Night Fly", where pilots take to the skies with RC helis covered in lights. It's a great show for both spectators and fellow pilots. Modelflight's very own pilot, Hamish Scott, will be in attendance. Hamish will be flying the amazing JR E8 and JR E12 RC helis, using Thunder Power batteries.
Hamish and Steve Burgess will also be manning the Modelflight tent which will display the brand new JR Forza 450 and TSA Models, including the Infusion 700N and Infusion 700E. There will be some great promotions for our new website and you can always speak to Steve and Hamish about any RC heli questions you may have.
