Built Tough with a Strengthened Steel Chassis

To cope with the rigours that rock climbing places on vehicles, the 1/10th Axial SCX10 III Base Camp is equipped with some serious strength in the areas where it matters. The steel C-channel chassis is strengthened and stiff to reduce frame flexing for torque turn and this also increases the precision of the suspension movement.  

Versatile and Durable LCXU 4-Wheel Drive Transmission

The SCX10 III Base Camp features AR45 portal axles that provide extra ground clearance at the differential, making it easier to tackle rugged terrain. The robust LCXU 4-wheel drive transmission is designed not only for durability with all-metal internal gears and full ball bearings but also for versatility. It allows for easy conversion to the optional standard axles if desired and supports upgrades like dig functionality. Completing the Base Camp’s level of toughness are the tunable oil-filled shocks, an optimised suspension system, and a bulletproof drivetrain, all of which ensure stability, control, and reliability on even the roughest trails.

Polycarbonate Body with Scale Accessories

The polycarbonate truck body on the upgraded Axial SCX10 III Base Camp is factory-detailed and decorated to give it a slick and contemporary scale look. Some of the new accessories that enhance the scale look include a half cage, side mirrors, rock sliders, a snorkel, a functional storage case and door handles. The off-road bumpers included are high clearance and officially licensed from Demello. Additionally, licensed Falken Wildpeak tyres are mounted on officially licensed Black Rhino one-piece wheels giving this RC crawler a genuinely realistic look. 

Reliable Power with Axial Slickrock Motor and Spektrum ESC

You may look at the price of the 1/10th Axial SCX10 III Base Camp and be tempted to think that it's a bit of a gimmick car. Not so. This is the real deal, and every component is high-quality, reliable and low maintenance. A case in point is the 35T Axial Slickrock brushed motor combined with the 40A Spektrum brushed ESC, which gives you plenty of power when it matters. To control everything, you also get an SLT3 Spetrum transmitter and an SR515 DSMR Sport Receiver. The 2.4GHz SLT3 3-channel radio allows you to adjust the steering rate, steering and throttle trims, and throttle limits. The SR515 receiver is also compatible with Spektrum DX5 Pro, Rugged and C transmitters.
