Following the lead of its full-scale counterpart is the E-flite Viper 90mm EDF RC Jet in both appearance, and, offering large scale RC jet pilots, novices or experienced alike, the widest flight envelope possible from the largest E-flite jet yet! You will get the same vertical performance, aerobatic capabilities, and, blistering speed that the 70mm Viper offered, only in bigger proportions.

A big plane and high speed mean you may need some assistance when in the air. This assistance comes in two forms through the Spektrum AR637TA Receiver – firstly is ASX3 technology that works behind the scenes making a number of minor corrections to ensure stability and give you a locked-in feel as you’re rocketing through the sky. Secondly is the optional SAFE Select program which you can engage with a flick of a switch from your transmitter. SAFE Select will set flight envelope limits to put you back on course if you start to lose control plus it will also self correct your flight and put you back on a level flight path until you take over the controls again.

A large-scale RC jet experience like no other

The E-flite Viper 90mm EDF RC Jet requires no glue to assemble and can be put together in a matter of minutes. Made from a composite reinforced lightweight EPO airframe and finished with an Aircraft Studio Design trim scheme this Viper not only looks good but is also tough as nails. The Vipers precise and crisp control at all speeds is provided by eight metal geared, factory-installed digital servos with ball-link equipped linkages and the control surfaces have pinned hinges. There are functioning LED landing and navigation lights, flaps, shock-absorbing electrical retracts as well as trailing link struts on the main gear and nose so you can taxi and take off/land from a number of different surfaces.

This BNF Basic version of the E-flite Viper 90mm EDF RC Jet includes a 130mAh Avian Smart ESC, 90mm 12-blade fan, and, a 6S compatible powerful brushless inrunner motor. When working in conjunction this power system utilises the precision ducting on the E-flite Viper 90mm EDF RC Jet to deliver incredible thrust and speed with a turbine-like sound for added realism. How much thrust and speed you might ask? On a level flight path, the Viper 90mm can hit speeds up to 193+ km/h and for aerobatics 6S 4000mAh to 7000mAh LiPo’s will give you superb vertical performance.

The 130mAh Spektrum Avian Smart ESC installed in the E-flite Viper 90mm EDF brings another dimension to flying this powerful RC jet. The Smart ESC will provide the pilot with real-time telemetry data from multiple power system related sources including battery voltage, current and motor RPM plus more via the AR637TA receiver that is installed. These will display on your Spektrum Airware equipped transmitter (DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) while you are flying. There is an optional use motor reversing feature to enable ground handling in tight spots. You have the option of installing a Spektrum GPS Telemetry Sensor (SPMA95871 – sold separately) to see altitude, distance from home, speed and other real-time data.

Bind-N-Fly RC Jet

If you own a Spektrum transmitter already then getting the E-flite Viper 90mm EDF RC Jet airborne will be even easier. With the servos, power system and 2.4GHz Spektrum receiver already installed it is simply a matter of binding the receiver to your transmitter and you are ready for take off!
