E-Flite UMX P-51D Voodoo RC Plane, BNF, EFLU4350

Built in 1944 by North American Aviation for the U.S. Army, the P-51D became a very accomplished racing aircraft after service in the military. The first race at the Reno Air Races was as #55 ‘Pegasus’. In 1998 it flew again at Reno but this time was renamed Voodoo. Winning the Unlimited Class many times saw the Voodoo become a part of the Planes of Fame Air Museum collection and complete the transition from warbird to flying icon. The E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo has impressive handling, outstanding performance, and, striking detail, to replicate this famous racer in Ultra-Micro scale.

Making the E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo easier to handle and fly are exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. Smoothing out the effects of turbulence and wind AS3X works behind the scenes and gives the pilot a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you are in control of a much bigger RC plane. SAFE Select is optional use technology that allows you to set pitch and bank angle limits and also has automatic self-levelling if you lose control mid-air. As your flying skills improve you can opt to switch SAFE Select off with the flick of a switch. The E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo is equipped with a flight controller/control unit that has an ESC and Spektrum receiver that gives the pilot real-time flight battery voltage telemetry to transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20, and others) equipped with AirWare technology.

The factory-installed brushless power system on the E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo has a 2S and 3S outrunner motor. With a 2S on board, you will get super performance with 280-300mAh on board. If you slot in the 3S battery then you step up to the unlimited vertical performance!

The E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo can be flown in smaller spaces and more places due to its ultra-micro size including backyards, local ovals and bigger indoor places. If you choose to install the optional fixed landing gear with a steerable tailwheel you can achieve easy take-off/landing and taxiing on smooth surfaces. Without the landing gear, you can do higher speed runs and vertical performance with grass landings and easy hand launching. This version of the E-flite UMX P-51D Voodoo is the most convenient, easiest-to-fly and affordable P-51 RC Racing plane yet!
