Durable EPO Construction for a Lightweight Yet Strong Airframe

The E-flite Sportix 1.1m has many modern-day conveniences and features, like LED navigation lights and hands-free servo connections on the two-piece horizontal stabilizer and wings, allowing you to assemble and disassemble without needing fasteners, glue or tools. The size of the Sportix also allows you to store and transport it conveniently and fly at a wider variety of venues. Constructed from durable EPO the lightweight airframe is strengthened by a reinforced composite giving it added strength throughout the aircraft. Four metal-geared digital servos have been factory installed with ball-link equipped linkages that will give your E-flite Sportix reliable and precise control at all speeds. 

Power and Performance with a Brushless Motor and Smart ESC

The specially tuned factory-installed brushless power system on your E-flite Sportix 1.1m RC plane features a Spektrum Avian Smart Lite 45-amp ESC which, when paired with a 3S 2200mAh LiPo, puts an abundance of thrust at your fingertips. One of the beauties of the Sportix is that you can upgrade to a 4S 3200mAh LiPo without any upgrades or modifications and enjoy unlimited vertical performance and even more speed! The Avian Smart Lite can also provide you with a range of power system-related telemetry data in real-time on your remaining battery voltage, current, motor RPM and more. You can access this data with both Smart and non-Smart batteries - all you need is a compatible receiver like the installed Spektrum AR631. You will also need a Spektrum AirWare (App available from your relevant store) equipped transmitter. These include the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others.  

Fly with Confidence Using AS3X and SAFE Select Technology

The E-flite Sportix 1.1m RC plane features an optional-use motor/thrust reversing function assisting with take-offs, landings and taxiing. You will need a 5-6+ channel transmitter to access this reversing function. As you progress from your trainer to the E-flite Sportix 1.1m, these next two additions will make your flying life that much easier. Your AR631 receiver is equipped with exclusive Spektrum AS3X+ technology which will work behind the scenes as you fly helping to smooth out the effects of turbulence and wind by making minor but smooth corrections to deliver a locked-in feel and provide additional stability. While you might feel more confident stepping up from the trainer, you may like the peace of mind with the optional use of SAFE Select technology. With SAFE Select, you can set your own pitch and bank angle limits and if you get into trouble, the automatic self-levelling function will kick in until you're ready to reassume control. If you feel you've got this RC sport plane handled you need only flick a switch and SAFE Select will disengage and you can go it alone.

Next Step After a Trainer - Skill Level 2

Skill Level 2 – Next Step After a Trainer aircraft, like this one, is suitable for RC pilots who have successfully learned to fly a trainer model and those with the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. Although this is a very smooth and stable model, it’s not a suitable first-ever RC aircraft for new pilots. You should have the experience and skills necessary to successfully fly a trainer model like the HobbyZone AeroScout 1.1m and Carbon Cub 1.3m, or models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m and other similar class models before attempting to fly the Sportix 1.1m BNF Basic version.
