E-Flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m BNF Basic, with AS3X and SAFE Select, EFL02650

As a sport scale replica, the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m is designed from the ground up to be a more affordable version of the larger and incredibly popular ‘Ferocious Frankie’ and ‘Gunfighter’ P-51 released by ParkZone back in the day. Because not all pilots are ready for the complexity of flaps and parks that are suited to retractable landing gear are limited this 1.0m version of the Mustang fills the void between the trainer and the full-blown RC Warbird. 

Removable Landing Gear and Hand Launch Assist Mode

This particular version of the Mustang comes with a fixed landing gear and a steerable tail wheel, but you can remove it. Hand Launch Assist Mode can be utilised resulting in reduced drag and more speed will be available when airborne. You can land the belly on soft grass. The convenient size of the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m means you can transport or store it without having to disassemble it. It is large enough that it's easy to see and can handle more wind than smaller or ultra-micro class models. 

At every speed, your E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m will have reliable and process control from the digital metal-geared servos that have been factory installed. Powering your E-flite Mustang is a Spektrum outrunner motor and a 30-amp ESC that is telemetry capable and will provide real-time power system-related data including battery voltage, RPM, current and more. This will work with Smart and Non-Smart batteries as long as you have a compatible receiver like the AR631 one provided, and, a Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitter (DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others). You can switch between the 3S 1300-2200mAh LiPo which will give you plenty of thrust, and then up to a 4S 2200mAh LiPo if you're ready for unlimited vertical performance and even more speed. This can be done without the need for any upgrades or modifications. 

SAFE Select and AS3X+ Technology

The Spektrum AR631+ receiver that is installed in your E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m features enhanced AS3X+ technology that works in the background making hundreds of slight adjustments to negate the effects of wind and turbulence. To assist you with easier and more controlled flying you can choose to activate the optional use SAFE Select which will set pitch and bank angle limits and also comes with self-levelling mode if you get all mixed up while you're airborne. 

The durable lightweight EPO airframe on the E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m is strengthened with reinforced composite so it can take some punishment. The trim scheme has been factory finished and features the unique ‘Ferocious Frankie’ motif that Major Wallace E. Hopkins, an accomplished WW2 pilot, used. No tools or glue is required to assemble your Mustang and you can almost leave it intact as it is of a size that you can store or transport without needing to remove the one-piece wing and its hands-free connections.
