First coming into service 40 years ago the F-16 Fighting Falcon has seen service with the U.S. Air Force plus many other air forces around the world. Still, in service to this day, the F-16 Falcon is a modern-day warbird classic. E-flite have released the F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet with unprecedented attention to scale detail along with power and Smarts to give you a flying experience like no other!

Included with the E-flite F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet is a range of scale details including simulated antennas, indicators, moulded-in hatches and panel lines, sensors, and more. Also included is a full range of easy to install/remove, optional use military ordnance that includes:

• (2) AIM-9X Sidewinder Missiles

• (2) AIM-120 AMRAAM Missiles

• (2) AGM-88 HARM Missiles

• (3) Drop Tanks (2 wing and 1 centreline)

The E-flite F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet also includes a host of functional scale features that include full-flying stabs, sequenced gear doors, LED landing and navigation lights, and, the most detail-rich retractable landing gear ever to be installed on an F-16 EDF model. For the full fly-by experience there is an optional simulated afterburner LED ring but you’ll need to buy that separately.

There are nine metal-geared, factory-installed digital servos that have ball-link equipped linkages on all the flight control surfaces that deliver precise, reliable, and crisp control at all speeds. To help you with flight control the E-flite F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet comes equipped with an AR637TA Spektrum receiver that has been programmed with optional use SAFE Select and AS3X technologies. SAFE Select gives you automatic self-levelling in case you get into trouble as well as bank and pitch angle limits all of which can be turned on and off from your transmitter. AS3X is working permanently for you behind the scenes with thousands of minor corrections that assist you against the effect of turbulence and wind and deliver a stabilised locked-in flight experience. Real-time motor RPM, battery voltage, and other telemetry data can be received from the 100mAh Spektrum Avian SMART ESC via compatible transmitter and receivers.

The 12-blade 80mm V2 fan on the E-flite F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet is powered by a 2100Kv brushless in-runner motor and has a 100mAh ESC. Put all that together with any of a wide range of LiPo’s in the 6S 4000-7000mAh 30+C range and you will get virtually instantaneous throttle, brilliant vertical performance, and fantastic speed. The power system on the F-16 Falcon is so efficient is delivers longer flight times and better performance than any other power system used in 90mm class RC jets. Throw in the real turbine-like sound and you’ll feel like a true top gun!

Fully moulded, durable EPO foam construction makes the E-flite F-16 Falcon 80mm EDF RC Jet nearly indestructible but also workable enough to provide the rich level of stunning scale detail. Assembly is glueless with a two-piece wing that bolts into place plus a magnetic nose cone allowing for fast flying. The plastic capped strakes, hatch opening, and edges increase the durability and help prevent paint chipping and damage during handling.
