E-Flite Commander mPd 1.4m with Smart Technology, BNF Basic, EFL14850

Blending classic lines with modern influences, the original Commander mPd 1.4m was a collaboration between Aircraft Studio Design founder Mirco Pecorari and veteran RC aircraft designer David Payne. The new E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m has been upgraded and updated to include Smart technology as well as better control and more power.

Classic Commander looks with modern performance

The E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m is the perfect ‘next step’ RC plane after a trainer model with easy take-offs, flying and landings. This is not to say it is not capable of high speed and high energy aerobatics in the right pilots' hands. Featuring a specially tuned motor and a Spektrum 45-amp Avian Smart Lite ESC the new brushless power system delivers great speed and performance on 3S LiPo. If you want that little bit extra with your vertical performance you can put in a 4S LiPo and hit the afterburners. Combined with the light wing loading on the E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m and the metal-geared servos and flaps you end up with an RC sport performance airplane with a wide flight envelope. Once your confidence is up you can perform knife-edge flight, rolling circles and more.

Whilst airborne your Avian Smart Lite ESC is able to provide you with real-time power system related telemetry data including current, battery voltage, motor RPM and more. You can achieve this with either Smart or non-Smart batteries but you will need a compatible receiver like the BNF’s Spektrum AR631, and, transmitters equipped with Spektrum AirWare.

The BNF version of the E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m gives pilots the option of engaging SAFE Select technologies which essentially put boundaries on your flight envelope and give you a self-levelling panic button option if your flight goes awry. The other pilot aiding technology is AS3X which is working behind the scenes making hundreds of minor corrections to ensure your craft remains stable if you encounter big wind shifts or turbulence plus it also gives you get that locked-in feel when you are flying.

Another feature of the E-flite Commander mPd 1.4m is that the aileron and flap servo connectors automatically plug-in using an innovative Hands-Free Servo connection system when you install the four-bolt two-piece wing system.

There is an Aircraft Studio Design created a vibrant trim scheme that has been factory applied to the Commander mPd 1.4m and requires no glue for assembly. Fast and easy to assemble means you’ll be airborne sooner!
