When the original E-flite A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF hit the market it delivered a perfect first-time large twin-powered RC jet experience for pilots of varying expertise. This new version has been upgraded and updated and also comes equipped with Spektrum Smart technology. When combined with your 30+C 6S 3200-4000mAh LiPo battery the twin 11-blade 64mm fans along with the dual Spektrum Avian Smart ESC’s and high-RPM brushless motors can produce top-flight speeds in excess of 177 km/h and nearly unlimited vertical performance. With virtually instantaneous throttle response you will get a massive sense of the power you have at your fingertips. The power system on the E-flite® A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF also delivers longer flight times and better performance than the 4S-compatible power systems onboard similar class models.

Real-time power system related telemetry data is delivered through the Smart Avian ESC to relay data to you while you fly including current, motor RPM, battery voltage and more. All you need to do is ensure you have a Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitter (DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and others), and, a compatible receiver such as the Spektrum AR637TA. If you have a 7+ channel transmitter you can use thrust reversing on your E-flite® A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF to shorten your rollout after landing as well as give you the option of other ground-handling capabilities.

The level of complex shapes and detail on the E-flite® A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF can only be done with a fully-moulded EPO material construction that is also extremely durable and lightweight. This material allows for the superb scale appearance on the Thunderbolt that makes it easy to maintain and allows pilots a fantastic in-air experience.

Nine digital servos with precise ball-link equipped linkages have been factory installed and include a metal-geared nose wheel steering servo giving the E-flite® A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF reliable and precise control at all times. There are a number of functional features including the operational flaps, twin rudders, LED navigation lights and shock absorbing electric retracts so you can take off and land on a variety of different surfaces. The trim scheme on this RC warbird is a factory finished three-tone grey, rare “Flipper” camouflage covering that was used in the early ’90s on some USAF A-10 aircraft. Adding to the scale detail are moulded-in panel lines, removable ordnance, gun detail and a pilot figure sitting in the cockpit behind a clear canopy.

The cockpit/canopy is mounted on top of the convenient top-mounted hatch making it easy for you to install and change over your batteries. The innovative hands-free connection system on the composite reinforced one-piece wing makes it easy to put together and take apart as well as making storage and transport simple.

Exclusive Technologies from Spektrum

High speed powerful vertical performance means you may need some assistance when pushing the E-flite® A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 64mm EDF to its limits. This assistance comes in two forms through the Spektrum AR637TA Receiver – firstly is ASX3 technology that works behind the scenes making a number of minor corrections to ensure stability and give you a locked-in feel as you’re rocketing through the sky. Secondly is the optional SAFE Select program which you can engage with a flick of a switch from your transmitter. SAFE Select will set flight envelope limits to put you back on course if you start to lose control plus it will also self correct your flight and put you back on a level flight path until you take over the controls again.
