AeroNaut Triple RES Electric Glider Kit

The Triple R.E.S. laser cut balsa kit has 199cm wingspan and a V tail. In accordance with the RES competition regulations, the model is only controlled by rudder, elevator and spoilers. It can be built as a glider or as an electric powered glider

This completely newly developed model concept offers a beautifully shaped fuselage with V-tail (can be built either as a glider or an electric glider - both versions are included in the kit)  The wings can be attached to the fuselage as desired. Completely without tools, with a strong magnetic lock. 

The glider fuselage offers the best aerodynamic characteristics in its slim design. The electric fuselage is only a little wider in the front area, can comfortably accommodate 28 mm external rotor motors and offers space for a 3S LiPo up to approx. 2500 mAh. Common to both fuselages is the removable canopy with magnetic lock and a fuselage lid on the underside, which conceals the servos for the V-tail.

The model is built completely in wood and follows the Aeronaut proven principle of model building. The fuselage is made of poplar plywood and balsa. The innovative plug-in system allows a quick and distortion-free assembly. The V-tail is also assembled from lasered parts and glued to an extra slipway.

The wings are built in ribbed construction, have continuous pine spars and a boxing with grooves, so that the construction on any flat building board is quick and easy. The end slat planking is also grooved, so that nothing can be done wrong with the position of the ribs. This makes it possible even for beginners in wood model building to quickly get their own perfectly built and flying model.

The kit is also ideal for youth work and for joint construction projects in clubs.

The model kit contains all laser-cut wooden parts for building the model, pine spars, rudder joints and Bowden cables, various small parts. A detailed illustrated building instruction in the proven Aeronaut 3D style leads to a fast building success.

The electric glider version requires a brushless motor up to 28mm outside diameter and from 150 watts power. Both versions require 4 micro servos for rudder, elevator and spoilers (2). The nose diameter for the electric version is 30mm.

We recommend the use of Ultracote Lite transparent covering for the model.
