Known affectionately as the ‘Warthog’ because of its fearsome look and Close Air Support (CAS) capabilities, the A-10 Thunderbolt II deserves its status as one of the most iconic US Air Force warbirds of all time. The Warthog has a fearsome reputation as an accurate weapons delivery aircraft that can take a hit and keep going. With superb low altitude and low-speed manoeuvrability, it was a favourite among ground troops calling in air support. The upgraded and updated E-flite® UMX™ A-10 Twin 30mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet is now more accessible to RC pilots with its practical and affordable ultra-micro size. With a carbon-reinforced airframe and nose plus a stronger airframe the UMX A-10 Thunderbolt II Twin 30mm EDF ultra micro jet is nearly as tough as its full-scale namesake. You also get a power boost as the Warthog has a 2S and 3S compatible power system matched to 30mm fans which will give you longer than average flight times when you hook them up with 450-850mAh LiPo batteries with an IC2 connector.

The industry-leading 2.4GHz Spektrum technology in the E-flite® UMX™ A-10 Twin 30mm EDF jet will bind you to the DSMX/DSM2 5+ channel transmitter for complete 4-channel control. This also facilitates the optional use SAFE Select and AS3X technologies.

AS3X (Artificial Stabilization 3 aXis) system that nullifies the effects of turbulence and wind by working behind the scenes to provide increased precision and stability when your E-flite® UMX™ A-10 T Twin 30mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet experiences non-optimal flying conditions.

SAFE Select is optional technology that gives the E-flite® UMX™ A-10 Twin 30mm EDF jet an extra margin of safety by enabling features that will ensure your flight envelope is limited to keep you out of trouble until you are a better flyer or have familiarized yourself with the controls. No programming is required to engage SAFE Select as it is built into the receiver. You just need to follow the manual directions and change up the binding sequence to switch it on. If you have a Spektrum Airware equipped transmitter (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, the NX6, 8 and 10, the iX12, iX20 and others) you can receive real-time flight battery voltage and other telemetry data straight to your transmitter.

The E-flite® UMX™ A-10 Twin 30mm EDF jet has a fully moulded airframe and comes factory assembled and also includes the factory applied ‘desert camo’ trim scheme. If you use the landing gear on the Warthog it will easily take off and land on a variety of surfaces including grass, dirt or concrete.
