Fast forward to today, and most foam aircraft are fully moulded sport and scale models. The E-flite Eratix 3D FF 860mm is lightweight yet extremely durable and comes mostly factory assembled. The factory-installed brushless power system is compatible with 2S or 3S LiPo batteries. When flown with a 2S LiPo, you will get plenty of thrust. Install a 3S LiPo and you will have virtually unlimited vertical and 3D performance. If you want to keep the weight down, use a 450mAh battery and for longer flight times use batteries up to 850mAh. Equipped with the Spektrum Avian Smart ESC, the Eratix 3D has the capability to provide a variety of power system-related telemetry data including battery voltage, current, motor RPM and more in real-time to your Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitter via compatible receivers (like the Spektrum AR630).

The convenient size and weight of the Eratix 3D make it possible to enjoy the aerobatic RC plane in a variety of places including large indoor spaces like gymnasiums or outdoors in parks, sports fields, and large backyards. Unlike other flat foamy RC models, no glue or tape is required to build the Eratix 3D and it can be ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge the battery.

If you already own a Spektrum transmitter, the Bind-N-Fly completion level makes getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible, easier than ever. The Eratix 3D comes out of the box with the power system, servos, and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed, so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!

Exclusive AS3X and SAFE Select technologies

The Spektrum DSMX receiver fitted in the E-flite Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) features the AS3X (Artificial Stabilization 3 aXis) system that nullifies the effects of turbulence and wind by working behind the scenes to provide increased precision and stability when your RC plane experiences non-optimal flying conditions. SAFE Select is optional technology that gives the Eratix 3D an extra margin of safety by enabling features that will ensure your flight envelope is limited to keep you out of trouble until you are a better flyer or have familiarized yourself with the controls. No programming is required to engage SAFE Select as it is built into the receiver. You just need to follow the manual directions and change up the binding sequence to switch it on.
