The Blade 230 S, and various versions of this RC helicopter, have been used by RC pilots for almost a decade to learn how to fly collective pitch helicopters. Now Blade offers an upgraded version of the proven 230 S in the form of the Blade Revolution 235 CP! Equipped with new features that increase durability and capability, this remote-control helicopter is even easier to fly. The Revolution 235 CP features Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope or SAFE technology to help you out as you're getting used to Collective Pitch. SAFE offers you angle limits while you're airborne and has an improved self-levelling function that will help you prevent crashing while in Normal mode. If you flick up to Stunt 1 or Stunt 2 modes, SAFE will switch off, but you still have the Panic Recovery function. 

An Evolution in RC Helicopters

There is no assembly or setup required for your Blade Revolution 235 CP. It comes out of the box 100% factory assembled and flight tested. If you opt for the RTF Basic version it includes everything except for a charger and a battery making it a great choice for either first-time or experienced pilots looking for both value and convenience. You can match your Revolution with a budget-friendly Spektrum Powerstage bundle (SPMXPSA100) which includes a 3S 850mAh Smart G2 LiPo battery, an IC2 to IC3 adapters, and an S120 Smart charger that can be used with a variety of USB power sources (sold separately), or, choose the charger and battery that you like. The 2.4GHz DXS Spektrum transmitter that is included can also be used with other BNF aircraft once you've mastered flying the Revolution 235!  

The BNF Basic version of the Revolution is suited for pilots who already own a Spektrum transmitter, along with battery chargers and either Smart or non-Smart batteries. The Spektrum flybarless flight controller and receiver included with both versions come with a Smart Transmitter File installed that allows the importation of all settings for NX and iX series transmitters when you initiate the binding process. This is another step to make it faster and easier to get your Revolution 235 flying with your upgraded or favourite radio.  

Upgraded Brushless Power System

The Blade Revolution 235 CP has a more efficient and powerful brushless main motor and, along with the tail motor, they are both connected to a Dual Smart Spektrum ESC that has been factory installed. This is compatible with affordable and popular 850mAh 3S Smart and non-Smart LiPo batteries and has IC2 connectors. Unlike Fixed Pitch mechanics the main rotor Collective Pitch mechanics on the Revolution gives you smooth control and delivers an unparalleled blend of sport, hovering and aerobatic flying capabilities. The Dual Smart Spektrum ESC, receiver and flight controller can provide the pilot with real-time telemetry data including remaining battery voltage, motor RPM and other flight data. You will need a compatible transmitter with Spektrum AirWare downloaded onto it and these include DXS, DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, the iX12 to 20, and others. The updated frame design on the Revolution easily accommodates the upgraded metal-geared, digital servos and features an aluminium swashplate and rotor head block, as well as an optimised servo and improved rotor head geometry. All of this adds up to increased precision, capabilities and durability while you are flying.  

Learn to Fly Successfully with SAFE Technology 

If the Blade Revolution 235 CP is your first RC helicopter or even your latest you can feel comfort in knowing that it has exclusive Horizon Hobby Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope (SAFE) technology that prevents crashes and overcontrol but also offers you three different flight modes that you can utilise once you gain more confidence in your flying ability. 

Normal (SAFE) Mode 

With Normal SAFE mode engaged the flight of your Revolution will be restricted to the pre-set pitch and bank angle limits. These limits help to prevent you from over-controlling your heli which can easily lead to panic, a loss of orientation and ultimately a crash. If you do crash you need only to release the sticks on your transmitter and the Revolution will automatically return to level flight on its own allowing you to regain your bearings and just steer the helicopter rather than having to focus on keeping it level as well. It is also much easier to take off and land with Normal mode engaged. 

Stunt/Idle Up 1 (AS3X) Mode 

In this mode, there are no pitch or bank angle limits so control of your chopper is entirely in your hands. The head speed is constantly higher than in Normal mode which allows you to perform basic aerobatic manoeuvres like rolls and loops plus can also fly inverted (upside down). 

Stunt/Idle Up 2 (AS3X) Mode 

There are no limits in this flight mode and the head speed goes up even higher so you can aggressively approach 3D aerobatic manoeuvres without restrictions.  

Panic Recovery 

If things get completely out of hand while you're airborne you can simply press and hold the Panic Recover button. This will switch your Revolution to Normal mode and once you release the right-hand control stick SAFE technology will kick in and automatically return your chopper to an upright position and resume a slow-level flight. 

Blade has also made it possible to personalise and customise your Revolution 235 CP with different colours of canopies, tail rotors, main rotor blades and landing gear. Upgrade option parts are also available with carbon fibre main rotor blades along with main motor and tail motor mounts, aluminium blade grips and even an updated light kit for night flying. All of these optional parts are sold separately. 

Practice with the RealFlight Trainer Edition Flight Simulator

If you want to get your flying skills up to speed quickly, the RealFlight Trainer Edition RC Flight Simulator (sold separately) features the Blade Revolution 235 CP, plus many other models. It is available to purchase with a Spektrum WS2000 Wireless Simulator Dongle in a money-saving package (RFL-1212). You can even use the Spektrum transmitter included with the RTF Basic version.
