With a Smart Firma ESC and a Smart LiPo battery installed in your RC car, you can view the battery capacity left for the vehicle to use at a glance on the convenient voltage level indicator on the DX3.

Compatible with Spektrum SMART technology

The Smart Technology compatibility of the DX3 opens you up to a new world of connectivity with this RC transmitter ready to integrate with other Smart components increasing the responsiveness and ease of use. The beauty of Smart Technology is that it ensures the electronics of your vehicle all work in conjunction to give you the best performance and efficiency. Through the Dashboard app and on the DX3 battery indicator you are kept updated on the status of your onboard components giving you the confidence to push harder for longer. You can pair your DX3 with the optional Spektrum Firma Smart ESC which eliminates the need to run telemetry and gives you real-time data on your other Smart components. You can get the latest data on your rpm, temperature, battery voltage, capacity, amp draw plus more all through to the Dashboard app.

DSMR® Technology

The proven frequency-agile technology of Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMR is what this DX3 transmitter is built around. In noisy 2.4GHz environments, the response and range of DSMR technology is excellent. It is backwards compatible with Spektrum DSM2 receivers and can be used with any surface application.

AVC® (Active Vehicle Control®)

Active Vehicle Control (AVC) is a system built into your receiver that works in conjunction with your DX3 transmitter to make hundreds of positive adjustments per second to your steering and throttle in order to maximise the ability of your RC surface vehicle to achieve traction. This means that you spend less time spinning your wheels and more time keeping grip as you race across various surfaces. The AVC system has a patent-pending and is exclusive to Horizon Hobby vehicles. If you’re feeling confident enough in your own abilities you can simply disable AVC until such time that you think you will need it.

Ergonomic transmitter design

As an RC driver, you will appreciate the thought gone into the ergonomic design of the DX3 transmitter. The intuitive layout of the controls includes throttle and steering trim dials, servo reversing switches, 3 position throttle limiter and AVC/steering rate dial all positioned strategically to be easy to reach when needed, and, out of the way when they aren’t.
