E-Flite UMX Twin Otter RC Plane, BNF Basic, EFLU30050

The DHC-6 Twin Otter was developed by De Havilland Canada in 1965 as a STOL (Short Take-off and Landing) commuter aircraft. It carried cargo and passengers into harsh environments such as the sub-zero Antarctic and North African desert. Over the years, Viking Air Limited would acquire the Type Certificates for all out-of-production de Havilland aircraft and re-establish the Twin Otter as a successful commuter airliner. The E-flite UMX Twin Otter RC plane pays tribute to this aircraft in an ultra-micro scale replica.

The E-flite UMX Twin Otter RC plane features powerful twin brushless motors with counter-rotating three-blade props. Combined with common and affordable 1S 500-800mAh batteries - like those used in the UMX Ultrix and other popular E-flite models - you’ll receive an excellent power-to-weight ratio and long flight times. Differential thrust delivers yaw control for easy ground handling and performing aerobatics. The E-flite UMX Twin Otter doesn’t just perform well, it features a scale-inspired trim scheme, moulded-in panel lines and corrugated control surfaces as well as LED navigation and landing lights, giving it an authentic scale look. The advanced EPS material construction keeps the frame lightweight and durable. 

When using a compatible Spektrum Airware equipped transmitters with the E-flite UMX Twin Otter (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/G3, DX8 G2, DX9, the NX series, the iX12, iX20 and others), you can receive flight battery voltage telemetry in real-time. This is due to the flight control unit that includes two ESCs and a Spektrum receiver that features Spektrum’s exclusive technologies, including AS3X and SAFE Select. AS3X delivers a locked-in feel that makes you feel like you’re flying a larger plane by smoothing out the effects of turbulence and wind. The optional SAFE Select technology gives you the choice of pitch and bank angle limits as well as automatic self-levelling that can be turned off and on at the flip of a switch.
