Vaterra’s 1968 Ford F-100 Ascender Rock Crawler

Vaterra RC Crawler

Need to make a statement on the rock slopes? The 1968 1/10th scale Ford F-100 from Vaterra is going to turn heads. With an officially licensed Ford F-100 body, caged back with real aluminium panels, working LED lights and a spare tyre you are going to look the business. Speaking of looks the F-100 has immaculate scale detail including the correct two-tone colour combination straight out of the late 60’s. Personalise it with some of your own customisations as well. The Ascender Rock Crawler will bind to your current Spektrum radio. You can go straight out of the box and onto the rocks!

Take on any terrain with its durable design

The aluminium machined suspension system will handle the most brutal conditions. With the chassis riding on a 3-link panhard bar front suspension and a supporting 4-link rear suspension your F-100 Ascender is loaded for bear! A variety of pre-load settings are made possible due to the oil-filled threaded shocks. You’re going to find it hard to find a slope this puppy can’t handle!

Ford F-100 Ascender RC truck

Rocky terrain and steep inclines get eaten up by the F-100’s engineered single speed, metal gear transmission. You can further customise if you wish by purchasing a two-speed transmission if the standard one-speed is not giving you enough thrills.

The drivetrain components on your F-100 Ascender are as tough as the rest of this muscle truck and give you a class-leading 45 degrees of steering angle.

Super Swamper TSL XS Tyres

To complement the ruggedness of your pimped out muscle truck you also get the super grippy Interco Super Swamper TSL SX tyres with their compound and tread pattern helping you handle all the angles.

You can slot in a 96mm shorty pack in the battery tray specifically designed to float over the front axle. This battery position will give your Ascender Rock Crawler more traction due to the extra weight over the front axles. Ideal for the steep inclines and big rocks!

Steel ladder frame rails

The patented stamped steel ladder frame rails are fully adjustable and can be reconfigured to fit most scale crawler bodies and four different wheelbases.

Your F-100 Ascender is not going to ‘diff’ out when you place one wheel under extreme load. The one-piece metal locker with its smaller low profile houses the axle and gives you far more ground clearance at the same time.
