This model aircraft makes giant scale flying easier. With its large Tundra wheels, you can take-off and land on virtually any terrain.  A mechanism is included which allows you to tow sailplanes with wingspans up to 3 metres in length. What's more, there is an optional float set available for this model aircraft along with a camera mount for aerial filming (both sold separately). Should you encounter any troubles during your flying, you will find the Carbon-Z structure to be easy to repair.

These features are coupled with digital metal gear servos and precise ball-link hardware. The Carbon-Z Cub remote control plane also comes with functional flaps, giving you greater control at low airspeeds and the ability to shorten your take-off and landing distances. The brushless power system in this E-Flite model plane gives you the muscle you need for superb STOL performance and wide versatility. Because this is a BNF plane, you will require your own radio, battery and charger. Please refer to the "What You Need" section for more details. The Carbon-Z Cub is a great entry point if you are ready to step up to giant-scale RC planes. Rich in features and wide in performance options, the Cub is a great investment. Order yours today.

Very simple to put together, 2 hours. Great plane to fly, orientation is so easy. Full flaps OOOOOOOW ! best to give yourself a bit of room and stick to 1/2 flap to start with. Has no nasty tendencies in stall, it just flutters, you have to work to drop a wing. Full flap a bit of power and it will spin. You don't need heaps of rudder to get out. If you can't land this thing then you can't fly. In all fantastic fun aircraft to fly. I think a 15X6 is a better choice of prop.
  • Awesome plane!

Maiden flight was a breeze. Not a single bad tendency , flies like a big trainer very easy to take off and land. I changed the tires though as the stock ones are way to hard for a plane this big. I replaced the stock tires with dubro 600rv's ( WOW what a difference ),landings are incredibly smooth on a grass oval. Make sure you take care when gluing the rudder on as ca is very hard to see and glued my rudder only slightly on the hinge but enough to break the undersized hinge bracket(strengthen if possible with areldite or jb weld). Overall extremely happy with this beautiful giant Cub :).

My context - old guy flying two years now, totally self taught, smashed everything at one time or other (Modelflight have done well from me I think). Live on a property where take off & landings are rough (mowed part of paddock). Lots of trees, assorted cattle.
Around 30 take off and landings, all good but for one nose dive straight into deck when I got out of wack landing in cross wind (pulled up to go around - too steeply on full flaps). All it needed was glue and a new prop and now flying good as ever.
Really nice to fly, no quirks at all. First needed a lot of trim but ok since (after adjustments). Flaps not necessary on take off (leaps into air in about 10 feet). GoPro goes well with it, better attached to under-surface where it has no discernible effect on flight characteristics. No other plane would have lasted this long in one piece (6 weeks - a long time for me) so has to be good value.

Assembly went well but screw location could be better explained in instructions. Maiden flight went well in 15 knot winds.
Very stable flight a little tricky on landing as ASX3 wants to keep the nose up a few minor adjustments should help.
    Congratulation E-Flite a great Aeroplane.
How about some more Giant scale Warbirds?

The Carbon Z Cub was quick, easy and enjoyable to assemble. The parts all fit well and it was easy to set up the Rx. It was noticed that on this model and on another one as well the flaps extend fully when the system goes into failsafe despite attempts to do otherwise.
I used 5.5" DuBro pump up Tires instead of the hard 6" wheels as supplied. This makes for a better looking aircraft and they really cushion the landings too. Elected to use a 15 x 6 APC prop after many comments on the net .After balancing accurately it has a very low noise level at full revs.
The aircraft is great fun to fly with such brilliant STOL performance. It makes an average pilot look a lot more skilled than the reality. This Carbon Z Cub is a diversion from my larger IC powered aircraft however and I am thoroughly delighted with it. Good luck commercially to E Flight with this great model edition.
