Why not be competitive within a matter of minutes with your FPV Racing, or kick some freestyle on the trails amongst the trees. With a push to smaller and lighter FPV racers the all new Vortex 150 FPV is a true Bind-N-Fly pre-assembled package that will help pilots out with a starting weight just under 200grams without battery (194grams), making the all up weight around 250-grams. Super light and super fast!
Included in the Blade Vortex 150 FPV is the highly respected Vortex OSD incorporating 32-bit processing power and great Pro Tuned features making this a true BNF race contender. Other major features include pre-loaded BetaFlight controller firmware, custom 22-amp peak ESCs with OneShot125 communication, 4mm durable carbon-fibre arms, integrated 40-channel NexWaveRF 5.8GHz video transmitter with dynamic power control, and FatShark 700VTL CMOS v2 FlightCam with adjustable tilt.
Immersion RC have achieved a beautiful minimalist design that fully integrates the flight controller, full-graphic OSD, two megabyte BlackBox recorder, 40-channel video transmitter and clever dampening around the flight camera, and naturally includes the cool look of a 4mm carbon-fibre to top it all off.
Firmware is on everything these days and the Blade Vortex 150 FPV is no exception. Fusion F3 flight controller is equipped with the open source CleanFlight firmware pre-loaded and a 32-bit processor and update firmware easily with the USB port. It includes preloaded ProTuned firmware to get you up and flying straight of of the box, or explore the community of users and set-ups and run a friends profile using the advanced ProTuned features. Coupled with the blackbox recorder, this enables effective tuning of PIDs for optimum speed and flight performance.
Bringing ARM microprocessors, lets be honest a 1990s computer, to something this size shows just how far technology has come. Blade Vortex 150 FPV mini-quad uses seven fully integrated and assigned 32-bit ARM processors. What does that all mean?! Dedicated processors are assigned for the flight controller, full-graphic OSD, the programmable LED board at the back of the quad, and one ARM for each of the four custom high performance 22-Amp ESCs located in the arms.
If the flash of bright green throughout the design isn’t enough, we need some bright LED’s to see this thing right. Included on the rear of the craft and powered by its own 32-bit ARM processor is a bank of 24-bit RGB LEDs. The beauty of these is you can program them however you like. Left or right indicators; sure why not! Brake check your mate in-flight with a bright series of red lights; sure why not!
If you lose your pride and joy in a field you want to find it fast right! The Vortex 150 FPV integrates an “ear piercing” lost model alarm. Go crazy and forget the consequences as you should be able to hear the Vortex 150 FPV if you lose control.
DPC or Dynamic Power Control is a valuable function included with the Vortex 150 FPV. When the mini-quad is disarmed the video transmitter lowers power automatically when the Vortex 150 is disarmed or ready for a race to start so that interference from other pilots on the line is minimized.
The included NexWaveRF 5.8 GHz video transmitter supports 40 channels and is compatible with most 5.8 GHz headsets or monitors on the market. Getting a clear channel for FPV use was once a major problem if your were racing heads-up with your mates. Eight pilots can now fly together with the integrated RaceBand system choosing the clearest channel via the OSD using your Spektrum RC Transmitter.
Get immersed with your flight and use the On Screen Display (OSD) on-board full-graphic functions to provide in-flight heads-up updates of critical information. The EzOSD includes the several layouts for the OSD and the menu allows all options to be programmed in the field using the RC transmitter and a headset or monitor. All layouts include screen-center alerts for critical warnings such as battery voltage, EzUHF Link Critical and more.
The custom high-speed V-Spec 1304 brushless outrunner motors feature a high-speed rating and spin 3" propellers for the punch to accelerate quickly and conquer the most demanding race courses.
To get this beast up and running you only require a full-range multi-function transmitter with Spektrum™ 2.4GHz DSMX® technology (5+ channels), Fat Shark or FXT 5.8GHz compatible FPV headset and/or FPV monitor, 3S-4S 500mAh (recommended) or 800mAh (capable) Li-Po Flight Battery, and a suitable Li-Po battery charger (we recommend Ultra Power). Its also great to note the inclusion of XT30 connector plugs on this craft. Get this FPV racer today!
