It includes preloaded ProTuned firmware to get you up and flying straight of of the box, or explore the community of users and set-ups and run a friends profile using the advanced ProTuned features. Coupled with the blackbox recorder, this enables effective tuning of PIDs for optimum speed and flight performance.
Bringing ARM microprocessors, lets be honest a 1990s computer, to something this size shows just how far technology has come. Blade Vortex 150 FPV mini-quad uses seven fully integrated and assigned 32-bit ARM processors. What does that all mean?! Dedicated processors are assigned for the flight controller, full-graphic OSD, the programmable LED board at the back of the quad, and one ARM for each of the four custom high performance 22-Amp ESCs located in the arms.
If the flash of bright green throughout the design isn’t enough, we need some bright LED’s to see this thing right. Included on the rear of the craft and powered by its own 32-bit ARM processor is a bank of 24-bit RGB LEDs. The beauty of these is you can program them however you like. Left or right indicators; sure why not! Brake check your mate in-flight with a bright series of red lights; sure why not!
If you lose your pride and joy in a field you want to find it fast right! The Vortex 150 FPV integrates an “ear piercing” lost model alarm. Go crazy and forget the consequences as you should be able to hear the Vortex 150 FPV if you lose control.
DPC or Dynamic Power Control is a valuable function included with the Vortex 150 FPV. When the mini-quad is disarmed the video transmitter lowers power automatically when the Vortex 150 is disarmed or ready for a race to start so that interference from other pilots on the line is minimized.
The included NexWaveRF 5.8 GHz video transmitter supports 40 channels and is compatible with most 5.8 GHz headsets or monitors on the market. Getting a clear channel for FPV use was once a major problem if your were racing heads-up with your mates. Eight pilots can now fly together with the integrated RaceBand system choosing the clearest channel via the OSD using your Spektrum RC Transmitter.
Get immersed with your flight and use the On Screen Display (OSD) on-board full-graphic functions to provide in-flight heads-up updates of critical information. The EzOSD includes the several layouts for the OSD and the menu allows all options to be programmed in the field using the RC transmitter and a headset or monitor. All layouts include screen-center alerts for critical warnings such as battery voltage, EzUHF Link Critical and more.
The custom high-speed V-Spec 1304 brushless outrunner motors feature a high-speed rating and spin 3" propellers for the punch to accelerate quickly and conquer the most demanding race courses.
