A sensational RC truck from HPI, the E-Firestorm 10T is equipped for the extreme.
Ignite the E-Firestorm
A blistering combination of fun and fast, the E-Firestorm Flux from HPI is an insane RC truck! This 1/10-scale 2WD vehicle comes fully-assembled and powered by a Flux MMH-4000Kv motor combined with an EMH-3S ESC, allowing the truck to reach speeds up to 124km/h (77mph). You will be able to enjoy these speeds regardless of the conditions – all the electronics are waterproof. The SF-10W steering servo and speed controller are completely protected and the 2.4GHz receiver is encased in a splash-proof box. To lower the centre of gravity, the steering servo is laid down. The Flux has very nimble handling and is easy to drive in all off-road conditions.
The main chassis is made from composite material, making it lightweight and durable. It comes with alloy double-wishbone, independent suspension on the front and rear. This racing suspension has the same geometry and components seen in the Firestorm 10T, including silicone-oil-filled racing shocks. These shocks come with threaded bodies that allow for the fine-tuning of ride height. When paired with the rear-mounted motor, you will experience excellent handling on the road. Nevertheless, there are several components of the car that you can fine tune. For example, there are three upper and two lower shock positions to maximise the suspension performance. The front and rear camber links are also vertically adjustable. Both the camber links and steering rods come with turnbuckles to make adjustment easier. Furthermore, the wheelbase can be adjusted to suit the length of the track. The rear toe and anti-squat can also be fine-tuned.
The low-profile 2.6:1 ratio transmission is rear-mounted and features metal gears that transfer the power from the motor to the rear tyres. The gears work in conjunction with 14 high quality ball bearings, which come in a sealed plastic case to keep the debris away and ensure high efficiency. A strong dual-pad slipper clutch is also used to minimise the impact of rough landings and keep the wheels spinning at the optimum speed. This ensures great traction on loose surfaces. A sealed planetary gear differential is also used to ensure minimal maintenance and the ability to tune the gears with heavy weight silicone oils.
As a bonus, HPI have also included a Speed Pack, which includes a 77-tooth spur gear and 35-tooth pinion. Additionally, this pack has a 3S battery strip and wheelie bar. These items work well in conjunction with the improved Blitz SC racing slipper clutch that is fitted to the E-Firestorm. To tackle the off-road terrain, the E-Firestorm comes with Split 5 wheels made from high-impact nylon. You will also notice the Ground Assault taper pin rear tyres and Front Line ribbed tyres for high traction. The front of the car also features durable axles made of alloy steel. By using captured hinge pins and hex-head machine screws, HPI have ensured that maintaining this remote control car is easy and there are no E-clips.
Please note that you will need to supply your own battery and charger to complete this car. HPI have equipped the battery retainer with high quality thumbscrews to ensure a secure and tool-free battery access. You can fit most LiPo, and 6-7 cell NiMH packs, in this RC car. HPI have included four AA batteries for the transmitter. Complete with a pre-painted DSX-2 body, the HPI E-Firestorm Flux is one aggressive RC truck. Order yours now.
