Modelflight's Interview With Mike McConville and Other Exciting Videos

Last Friday, Modelflight was thrilled to launch a video interview we conducted with world famous RC pilot and and Horizon Hobby aircraft designer, Mike McConville. Mike was in Australia for the Spektrum Gratton Airshow and he kindly made the time to talk to us after the event. On Modelflight's Facebook page, we asked you to submit your questions to Mike and we picked the best ones for the interview.  In our ten minute video, filmed in Adelaide's beautiful McClaren Vale, Mike talks about his work, past experience with the RC Tournament of Champions (TOC) and even how UFOs will shape our future.  The final video was uploaded to Modelflight's YouTube channel, but for your convenience we have embedded it below.  We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed putting it together:

Big thank you to Mike McConville for taking the time to talk to us and for all our Facebook fans who submitted their interesting (and humourous) questions!  Hopefully we will be able to catch up with Mike when he returns to Australia for next year's Spektrum Gratton Airshow.   While we are on the topic of our YouTube channel, we also wanted to talk about some other videos that we have recently launched. To begin with, Matt starred in a demo video featuring the Blade Scout CX.  We filmed this RC heli out the back in our warehouse. The Blade Scout is the perfect remote control helicopter for beginners.  At Matt shows, it is very easy to fly and can be flown indoors without any fuss.  The demo video can be seen below:

We also got to film Mike piloting the E-Flite Twist 480.  We had a lot of fun putting this video together.  In addition to filming on the ground, we also attached a small camera to the Twist itself!  The on-board footage we were able to capture is a thrill to watch, especially as Mike demonstrates the aerobatic potential of the Twist.  This demo video can also be viewed below:

We look forward to producing more great videos for our YouTube channel.  As always, stay tuned for more.
