New RC Cars Arrive at Modelflight

The last month at Modelflight has seen some exciting new additions to our range of RC cars. Today, we will be looking at three of these new releases, beginning with the ST-4 G3 from Thunder Tiger. This is one tough RC truggy. Powered by a Ripper IBL40 2000kV brushless motor, the ST-4 can easily handle the off-road terrain. It is built upon a factory-assembled chassis that is made from precision-milled, hard coated 7075-T6 aluminium. The ST-4 comes with four oversized oil-filled shock absorbers with 16mm diameter pistons. The suspension arms are very strong and their ride height can be fully adjusted.

Rival monster truck

The second vehicle is the Rival RC monster truck from Team Associated. If you think its appearance is menacing, wait to you see its performance! This brute of an RC truck is powered by a Reedy 1515-SL 2000kV brushless motor and comes ready-to-run with an XP 2.4GHz radio system and high-torque DS1510MG metal gear servos. The Rival has long travel independent suspension, which is controlled by eight fluid-filled, adjustable coil-over shocks. This gives this RC monster truck the ability to take on the big obstacles. Its large tyres and attached to bead-lock style wheels that use 1:8 scale typre 17mm wheel hexes and locking nuts.

The final RC truck can be summed up in two words: super fast. Able to reach 96.5km/h in 4.2 seconds, the Jato 3.3 from Traxxas is an incredible performer. At its core is the TRX 3.3 racing engine, which produces 60% more horsepower than its predecessor, the TRX 2.5. Furthermore, the TRX 3.3's overall power is 50% greater than the 2.5. This power is accentuated with the Jato's blue anodized aluminium tuned pipe, which derives the maximum horsepower from the engine. Traxxas have equipped the Jato with their EZ-Start push-button electric starting system, so you can power up this truck in no time.
