It's been an exciting week for fans of scale model planes. ParkZone launched their brand new warbird, the UM P-51D Mustang and Chuck T. Seeker was able to bring us these excellent videos on his YouTube channel. The first one features Chuck's unboxing and review of this RC plane.

As Chuck highlights, there is a lot to like about this plane. ParkZone have emphasised scale detail in the creation of this plane; focusing on accurate panel lines, canopy details and paint scheme. You can see in the video how ParkZone have taken what was great about their original Mustang and made it even better in the P-51D. With the included AS3X technology, you will be able to experience increased stabilisation when flying.

Speaking of flying, Chuck was also able to capture the maiden flight of the P-51D Mustang. You can watch this demo video below:

As you would have seen in the video, Chuck's flying conditions were not ideal, yet the Mustang still maintained stability with the AS3X system. This system minimises the effect of P-factor, turbulence and torque forces. Even though this is an ultra-micro RC plane, Chuck would have felt like he was in control of a finely-tuned, giant-scale model.

The UM P-51D Mustang comes in a RTF and BNF version.  If you prefer the BNF model, you will need to supply your own 4+ channel DSM2- or DSMX-compatible transmitter. Both versions come with a 1S 150mAh 25C LiPo battery and a 1-cell DC charger.

If you appreciate model warbirds as much as Chuck does, Modelflight has these new P-51D Mustangs available on our website. We will continue to bring you the latest reviews from Chuck, in addition to other RC information and news from our Modelflight team.
