Overview JR’s G6000T Extreme Tail Lock Gyro When it comes to Rate gyro technology, JR is known as the leader in both innovation and uncompromising performance. JR has once again focused their considerable experience and innovative thinking to develop a product that will raise the standard for all gyros to be judged — introducing the JR G6000T. Based on JR’s outstanding NEJ-3000, the G6000T features the same contest proven Rate gyro technology as its predecessor, while incorporating new Extreme Tail Lock™ Heading Hold mode for outstanding 3D performance. Designed specifically for Heli use only, the G6000T offers Heli pilots a wide variety of outstanding features, while maintaining the easy to use format that has become the JR trademark. Mode Selection The Tail Lock and Rate modes of the G6000T can be accessed and selected easily through either the mode select switch located on the amplifier (manual) or directly through the transmitter via the flight mode switch (automatic). Unlike other high-end gyros having a complicated touch screen or set up mode, the G6000T is simple to use. Just complete the connection, follow the instructions, and you’re ready to go. Vibration Dampening The G6000T features JR’s unique Double Action Dampening System that completely isolates the new lightweight Piezo crystal from unwanted vibration, while maximizing performance. This system also offers superior impact protection for the Piezo crystal, making the G6000T more damage resistant than other conventional gyros. Team JR member Dave Storey, Extreme 3D Pilots says:“ The G6000T is truly amazing! Its performance has allowed me to take my 3D flying to the next level”
Flying the G6000T
Our staff was eager to get to the flying field to see how the G6000T would perform. During forward flight, the G6000T felt very solid, yet predictable. The model had a very “linear” feel to all tail rotor inputs and performed very well through loops, multiple rolls, rolling stall turns, etc. Next, we pushed the G6000T through a series of backward flight maneuvers including backward loops, rolls, and tail slides. During sideways maneuvers and traveling flips, the G6000T held the tail so tight that we could hear the engine load. The G6000T could take any type of 3D maneuvers, we could throw at it. Through all the maneuvers, the G6000T held the tail like it was "on rails." We could quickly see that the G6000T would allow us to push the flight envelope and give us the confidence to try maneuvers that we never would have tried before. JR has clearly outdone themselves with the development of the new G6000T. The G6000T is easy to set up, lightweight, and features a level of performance we have never experienced with any other “Heading Hold” type gyro. The G6000T excels in both 3D, and contest type flying due to its outstanding precision and performance. The G6000T clearly sets the new standard for all gyros to be judged.
