Large scale air enthusiast will marvel at the Hangar 9 giant-scale, super detailed J-3 Cub. The Cub is perfect for a first-time large scale flight experience because of its smooth flight characteristics.
Hangar 9 has thought of just about everything to make this 1/4-scale Cub an incredibly accurate replica of the ever-popular Piper J-3 Cub. Right down to the scale dash with Piper Cub emblem in the tachometer, this is the large scale beauty designed with the scale admirer in mind. Scale enthusiasts will appreciate the more realistic Cub outline facilitated by simulated scale tubular construction of the top fuselage contour. Likewise, the scale fin-to-fuselage fillet molding echoes its full-scale counterpart. The scale Cub wheels and working landing gear facilitate easier landings, touch-and-go excitement and one-wheel arrivals.
Scale fanatics will be astonished by the full-bodied pilot figure that is not only of accurate scale but is also posable. The operating door panels offer easy access to the interior of the plane and interior seating locks to the cockpit floor yet is also removable; both also contribute to the scale realism of the full-size Cub.
Besides the unparalleled scale detail, you also get smart design features like collapsible wing struts that are connected to the wing with a pivoting pin and keeper, while a pin and cotter key system allows the struts to be removed from the fuselage without hassle. The 2-piece stab can also be removed if necessary.
The J-3 Cub can also be transformed by luxury of gas-and-go by adding a Zenoah G20ei engine (ZENE20EI).

Ensuring that our customers are 100% satisfied is of the utmost importance to the Model Flight team. If you are in any way dissatisfied with the products you have received, we will happily organise a refund or an exchange for you within 12 months, so long as the products are returned to us in a saleable condition under the following guidelines.
Returns Policy
Returned merchandise must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. The mounting of engines and accessories, running fuel through engines, cutting or pushing out the balsa sheets in kits, and other similar actions constitutes used merchandise. Radios must be returned with unmounted servos and switch harness.
When packing your order for return, please be sure all the original packing material and instruction papers and/or manuals are included. We will be unable to process your return if parts are missing, or if items are not packed properly to avoid damage to products and their boxes and/or packages. ARF kits are specially packaged to insure safe shipping of all contents. In order to receive credit for a returned ARF, the contents must be returned in the original plastic covers and arranged in a manner that will not damage the contents or packaging.
Please return your item to Modelflight with a completed Returns form.
Freight charges will not be refunded. The customer is responsible for insured shipping back to our shop.
Warranty
Modelflight also warrants to the original purchaser that any Modelflight purchase will be free from defects in material and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase, or we’ll replace it at no charge, you pay only for return shipping and handling. (Proof of purchase from Modelflight must be provided). Modelflight cannot cover its products from accidental damage, general wear and tear, or crashes due to carelessness and/or the associated use of other accessories/power supplies and this remains at the discretion on Modelflight management.
