Simple-to-build models with good flying characteristics, of mainly balsa construction. These models are not launched in the usual “javelin” style, but using the “side arm launch” (SAL) or discus method. This involves attaching a nylon cord to one wing tip (right- or left-hand, as preferred), which is used to hurl the model to altitude with a brief rotation of the launcher´s body. These models are of simple construction based on highly pre-fabricated components, including profiled wing panels, machined fuselage nose and die-cut tail panels, ensuring that they can be assembled successfully even by beginners and inexperienced modellers.
